Tri Lakeland Juniors Triathlon - RESULTS
Thank you for bringing your children to take part in the Tri Lakeland Juniors Triathlon yesterday. Despite the forecast earlier in the week for heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday it stayed dry on race day. There was a gusty wind which got stronger during the day and at one point broke one section of “Super strong” tape marking the course, bent our poles to at least 30% at times and did cause tape to flap into the course.

Apart from that – it was a great day and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We had some great racing with the T3 Boys race being won by just 1 second, the Tristar Start Boys being won by 2 seconds, the first 3 in the T1 Girls were being split by 4 second and the T2 Girls being won by a mere 5 seconds. There were many other races were a second here or there also made a difference.

The results can been seen by clicking HERE.

If anyone has questions about the results please contact me on 07922 030359 or 01900 829533.

We have slightly less lost property this year than last and have already arranged for some items to be repatriated with their owners. Items that remain unclaimed are:

Goggles – Blue lens with blue strap (arena)
Goggles – Grey lens with grey strap
Goggles – Black strap with mirrored lens
Goggles – Blue lens with blue strap
Goggles - Blue strap and clear lens
Goggles - Black Zoggs
Goggles – Pink mirrored lens with white and red strap (yingfa)
Black “Kalenji” bike trousers / leggings

HAS ANYONE FOUND SOME BLACK SPEEDO PRESCRIPTION GOGGLES - PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I CAN PUT YOU IN TOUCH WITH THE OWNER

HAS ANYONE FOUND SOME BLACK SPEEDO (ordinary) GOGGLES - PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I CAN PUT YOU IN TOUCH WITH THE OWNER

I hope every got home safely especially the people that travelled over 150 miles to get to us, your effort is very much appreciated.

I hope you will all be back next year, with a friend!

Regards

Rolf Cooley

2012 Post Race Survey
Thank you for everyone who has completed our post race survey form. We will take your feedback and use it to improve your race experience at next year’s event.

The draw for the free entry into our event next year has now taken place and been won by Katie Haune - congratulations.

The date for our event next year will be Sunday 23rd June 2013.

Until then, enjoy what is left of this race season and we hope to see you next year.

Tri Lakeland Juniors Triathlon 17th June 2012
Thanks to everyone who entered our event. As far as I can tell all went well. Thanks to DRS who sponsored our event. Thanks to our marshals and thanks to those that helped us set our course up when the pressure was on.

The results from the Tri Lakeland Juniors Triathlon are now declared as FINAL and have not changed from the provisional results that were released last week. The results can viewed by clicking the following LINK.

We did have a cable come out of it's chip timing socket and this meant that split times are not available for all the competitors in Wave 1. The problem was fixed before the first competitor finished, so their overall times were captured. If you have any queries about the results please mail me at [email protected]

I have a number of items of lost property, which is slowly reducing - they are as follows:

1 medal
1 pair of pink goggles
1 pair of grey goggles
1 pair of light grey goggles with blue straps
1 pair of dark grey socks
1 pair of light grey socks with black toes

If you think you have lost any of the above please call me 01900 829533.

Thanks to everyone including all the competitors for delivering a fantastic event. We had some great racing. Well done to all the spectators who came along and supported all the children and followed all the course signage. Thanks to all the parents who drove many miles to get their children to the event. Thank you finally to all those people who have written to me with very positive comments about the event that we put on. The whole team at Tri Lakeland Juniors hope to see you all back next year for a bigger and better event.

......... Follow in the footsteps of our World Champions Alistair Brownlee and Helen Jenkins.... give it a go! .............
