Maryport Golf Club

Maryport Golf Club

Maryport Golf Club was formed on January 21st 1905. It is situated on Cumbria's Solway coast, adjacent to the B5300, approximately 1 mile north of Maryport. It enjoys fabulous views across the Solway Firth, with panoramic views of the Scottish coastline and the Lake District Fells. The course is situated in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.

A wonderful feature of Maryport golf course is that it has a mixture of links and parkland holes. After the opening links holes, you are on to the gently undulating countryside before reverting back to closing links, and a warm welcome at the 19th hole. The trees that feature on the parkland holes continue to mature. As a result what was once considered to be the easier part of the course, it is becoming increasingly more difficult!

Coastal winds dramatically affect play at Maryport, and the wind is virtually ever present. However the beauty of playing golf here at Maryport, is that you rarely feel you are playing the same course twice!

We sincerely hope you will visit Maryport GC. In 2013 we were delighted to welcome visitors not only from all over the UK, but also from Europe - Germany, Denmark and Finland, and also the USA and Australia.
