United Utilities is shutting off the water supply in lower Wood Street and part of Crosby Street from 3pm to 5pm today  (Thursday May 14) to do some work in the area. Avoid Wood Street if you can where roadsworks are taking place in conjunction with the UU work and traffic lights are controlling traffic.
