PLANS are being raised to hold a family gala day to replace the defunct Maryport Carnival.  A group, led by town councillor Lee Williamson, is looking for help to hold a static carnival and more on the harbourside on July 9.  The event is in the early planning stages but a meeting has been held in which the group of about 12 people discussed it.  They are looking at having acts like dance groups, a brass band and fairground.  Businesses could be given the opportunity to... + continue reading

    The 2016 shop iwndow compeittion is open to all retailers at no cost. No registration is required. All windows will be judged. DCLG confirmation - Love Maryport Town Team secure funding to establish Coastal Communities Team Congratulations on being selected to be a Coastal Communities Team.
